As I was online recently, looking for some inspiration, I stumbled upon articles with titles like:

  • A Tip to Help Busy Moms

  • Bible Study Techniques for Busy Moms

  • Morning Routine for Busy Moms

  • Carving Out Time to Spend with God

  • Ways Busy Moms Can Get Quiet Time with God

And as I read, I felt a gentle thought rise up in my heart:

"Why are we trying to carve out time for the one who created time?"

Isn’t it true that God—who holds all things together, including our schedules—created time itself? So instead of squeezing Him into our day, what would it look like to give God the time He deserves?

Rethinking Busy as a Christian Mom

For so long, I identified as a "busy" mom. I’ve said it countless times: “I’m too busy to spend time with God today.” But when I really stop and reflect, I realize—God isn’t just another task on my to-do list. He’s my source of strength. So why has it become so difficult to make time for Him?

The word "busy" is often worn like a badge of honor. According to Merriam-Webster, it means being engaged in action or full of activity. Oxford defines it as having a great deal to do or staying occupied.

But what if busyness has become a distraction? A subtle but powerful barrier keeping us from time with the One who gives us life and breath?

It’s time to flip the narrative.

What if we stopped finding time for God—and started giving Him our time freely?

5 Daily Faith-Based Habits for Moms Using the F.R.U.I.T. Method

Instead of feeling overwhelmed and unsure of how to fit God into your day; Whether you’re in the middle of diaper changes, school drop-offs, or juggling work and family life, here’s a simple way to make space for God’s presence every single day. This daily faith routine for Christian moms follows a gentle, Spirit-led rhythm called F.R.U.I.T.:

  • F – Fellowship: Invite God in. Start your day in quiet fellowship with God.

  • R – Release: Let go of the burdens, distractions in your heart.

  • U – Utterance: Speak God’s Word aloud.

  • I – Inscribe: Write a scripture, prayer, or thoughts in a journal.

  • T – Talk: Keep the conversation going throughout your day. He’s always listening.

God Deserves Our Time

We often try to carve out quiet time, but in reality, God deserves more than just the leftovers of our day. He created time. He owns it. And He’s lovingly waiting for us to return it back to Him.

Motherhood is beautiful, busy, and stretching—but when we shift our hearts and routines to give God time daily, we experience peace, clarity, and divine partnership. God deserves our time. He created it, He owns it, and He is waiting for us to offer it back to Him.
