Motherhood is full.
Full of love.
Full of laughter.
Full of laundry, little voices, and a hundred tiny to-dos before 9 a.m.
But when it comes to our souls - our mind, will, and emotions - why does it feel like they’re the only part of us running on empty?
I’ve been there—waking up already overwhelmed, craving peace, purpose, and presence with God but unsure where to begin. Rushing into the day, chasing productivity, yet ending up spiritually depleted.
That’s why I created the F.R.U.I.T. Method — a simple, Spirit-led morning routine to help busy Christian moms start each day rooted in God’s Word. It’s not about perfection. It’s about presence. It's a biblical, life-giving rhythm for moms who want to raise their families in faith.
What Is the F.R.U.I.T. Morning Rhythm?
This simple method helps moms connect with God in five intentional ways, even in the busiest seasons of motherhood:
F – Fellowship with God
“Start with Him.”
Before the demands. Before the breakfast mess. Before the rush.
Sit with Go - even if its just for a few minutes.
You don’t need an hour. Just a few sacred minutes where it’s just you and the Lord.
Fellowship is more than a quiet time — it’s connection. It’s saying, “Here I am, Lord. I want to be with You. I give you the first of my day.”
This can look like:
Sitting in silence breathing deeply
Sitting with your coffee or tea
Saying a prayer
Reading a Bible verse
There’s no “perfect” way to show up — just show up.
R – Release it all to Him
“Lay it down.”
As moms, we carry a lot: the mental load, the what-ifs, the never-enoughs.
But in God, we were never meant to carry it alone. God invites us to release our worries and rest in Him.
Take a moment to:
Name your anxieties out loud
Surrender your to-do list
Tell God exactly how you're feeling
Release brings rest. Lighter hearts lead to joyful homes.
U – Utterance
“Speak the word of God into your day.”
Death and life are in the power of your tongue, mama.
After you release your worries, fill the atmosphere with the truth of God’s Word .
Speak a verse out loud. Declare God’s promises. Pray over your children. Pray over your mind.
Even a whisper — “Lord, I trust You” — can change the tone of your entire day.
Want to shift your home’s atmosphere? Start with the words you speak.
Utterance shifts the spiritual atmosphere and invites peace into your day.
I – Inscribe
“Write to connect.”
When we write, we don’t just put words on paper — we connect with our hearts, our thoughts, and with others. Writing has the power to transform our inner world and is a way to remember.
Here, write down a scripture, prayer or thought in a journal.
There’s something powerful about physically inscribing Scripture. It slows us down, helps us reflect, and makes it easier to carry God’s Word with us throughout the day.
You can:
Write a verse in your journal
Jot a prayer on a sticky note
Doodle a word or phrase that stuck out to you
Inscribe it so it sticks — because we need His Word to anchor us, especially when things get wild.
T – Talk With God All Day
“Amen is not the end.”
Quiet time doesn’t end when you close your Bible.
Talk to God all throughout your day:
In the carpool line
While washing dishes
During meltdowns and bedtime snuggles
He is with you in every moment — not just the “holy” ones. He wants a conversation, not a performance.
Whisper prayers.
Ask for help.
Say thank you.
He's not waiting for perfect prayers — He's waiting for you.
You Were Made to Bear Fruit
The F.R.U.I.T. Method isn’t just a morning routine. It is not about perfection — it’s a heart posture.
It’s a daily invitation to walk in the Spirit and bear fruit that lasts:
Love when things feel chaotic
Peace when the day unravels
Joy when motherhood gets hard
When you begin your morning with Fellowship, Release, Utterance, Inscription, and Talk, you’re not just doing a routine…You’re becoming a mom who walks in the Spirit — bearing fruit that will last.
So tomorrow morning, instead of reaching for your phone…Reach for F.R.U.I.T.
Your soul will thank you.
And so will your kids. 🤍
